Bio
As a child William was brought up on a farm. He lived with his parents and 3 younger siblings. Being the oldest out of the childeren he thought it best to learn to wield a blade. He set out one night to town to buy a blade, he didn't have a lot of money so no one would sell him one. On his way back to the farm he found a dead man laying on the side of the road, he searched the man in hopes of finding a good blade to start practicing with. He found a 6" dagger on the man, he took it back to the farm and started practicing in secret. One night while he was practicing with his dagger he heard screams coming from his farm. He ran to his home to find it burning, he froze for a brief minute then ran to see if he could get his family out, but when he came closer he was stopped by 4 men. One of them was a big man with a hook on for his left hand and a wooden right leg and a broadsword in his right hand, William took his knife from its sheath ready to defend himself. The men laughed, the big man (most likely the leader) swung his hook and knocked the knife from Williams hand. He then lifted the sword above his head and slashed down on Williams face, cutting his right eye. William was knocked unconsious by the force of the blade hitting his face, the 4 men left him to die. When William awoke he found that his house had burned completely and his family dead. He swore revenge on the man with a hook hand and wooden leg.
After years of training with various weapons, and tracking the man, William was a young man. Age 19, and talented with a sword, he finally found the man he had been hunting for 7 years. He confronted the man with a hook hand a wooden leg, and cut him down. William then donned on the mans black cloak and left the scene. He finally had his revenge, but still had no family. He vowed he would not let anyone suffer the same fate as he did, so he left his name behind and became The Man in Black, and was known for being a hero for those wronged in life, and killer of the unjust. Even though he was a good person, he was still feared because of his appearence and how he acts.
